This book is the product of spending over 5 years exploring the badlands and wastelands of the US.
Each photo is matched with a translated verse from the prophecy of Ragnarök. I often blended the 3 translations from The Codex Regius, the Icelandic book of kings to make unique interpretations of the original Völuspá - The Seeress’s Prophecy

The frame on the front cover is made up of reworked images from the black stave churches of Norway, and trapped or protected by its folds are a pantheon of heroes and villains, metaphorical Gods & Giants from the annals of US history…

There is a sense of doom in the air, of end times, a battle between good and evil, perhaps it’s time for an American Ragnarök…
